D.A.W.G. (Dudes Awesome Writing Gang)

D.A.W.G. is a weekly writing club for boys.  Each Friday, the dude writers in The Flock (including the BIG dude, Mr. Jones) get together, have lunch, and share our writing.  Here are a few examples of what we do during D.A.W.G. time:
  • Share a writing piece.
  • Give each other feedback.
  • Mr. Jones reads a mentor text like Guy Write or Knucklehead to help up with our writing.
  • We talk about guy writers like Ralph Fletcher or Jon Scieszka.
  • Goof around and laugh.
