This is a quote that I really like.

What is a capstone?

Crowning achievement           Climax           Culmination         High-point
A capstone project is a year-long project that provides a way for you to demonstrate the knowledge and skills you’ve learned during your elementary school years of education. It will usually require a great deal of research and effort, and is supervised by your teacher.

This Capstone Project is a way to demonstrate the reading, research, technology and writing skills you have developed over the last six years.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

PHASE 1: For this project, you will research many jobs and careers.  We will discuss how to discover your interests, skills and personality type and then try to match them with an appropriate career.

PHASE 2: During this research phase you will plan a path to achieve your chosen career.  You will explore what kind of education is required to be successful in this career.  You will learn about the day-to-day responsibilities of this career.  Also, you will look at the different jobs within your chosen career, and how you can work your way up to achieve higher ranks or positions within this career path.

PHASE 3: As a culminating experience, you will create a resumé for your chosen job.  Also, you will create a website that documents your research.  Part of this website will include a written reflection on your capstone process.

Remember, getting a job for the future starts today!
